-Work closely with you to determine your individual food likes and needs.
-Customize every menu to your unique taste.
-Shop for fresh quality groceries for the meals to be prepared.
-Prepare fresh, wholesome and delicious meals in the privacy of your kitchen, to your specifications.
-Prepare meals using Safe Food Handling methods.
-Leave a spotless kitchen, homemade individually packaged meals and the lingering scent of delicious dishes.
-Allow you to skip the cooking, the cleaning and proceed directly to enjoying dinner and your extra time with your family.
FEES:
Payment for your first cooking date is due at the signing of this Contract. For future dates, payments should be left at the cooking date prior or mailed in order to be received at least 7 days before your next cooking date. (An invoice will be left at each cooking day to assist with payment/menu selection for your next cheffing date.) This also applies to any additional incidental fees. (Please do not send cash through the mail!). If a refund is due, it will be left on cooking day or applied to your next cheffing date. (see Returned Checks) Pricing and services offered are subject to change without prior notice.
POLICIES:
LOCKOUT FEE: On cooking day, if access to your home is unobtainable/unsafe due to pets or other reasons, Cheffing Fee and cost of groceries plus a $25 fee is due regardless. Any salvageable groceries are yours to keep and may be used at next cooking date.
CLEANUP FEE: Should kitchen/work area/dishes/sink etc. need to be cleaned upon arrival, there will be an additional charge of $25.
RETURNED CHECKS: Any check/payment returned for any reason will result in a $25 “NSF” fee due prior to the next cooking date. Client will also be responsible for all charges/fees levied by the bank.
FINANCE CHARGES: There is no shipping, handling or returns on services. For your convenience, all taxes have been included already in the final prices. For planning purposes, payment and completed menu must be received by our office at least 7 days before your next cooking date. A $5 finance charge may be added for each day that any payment/menu is late.
CANCELLATIONS: If cooking date is cancelled ten days or less from scheduled day, Cheffing Fee is not refundable and will be due in full immediately. This may also apply to any dates rescheduled within a 72 hour period of your cooking day. If groceries have already been purchased, a $25 Rescheduling Fee may also be charged at your chef’s discretion.
DISCLAIMER:
Dining by Design has been educated and trained in the proper handling of foods and storage and utilizes those practices to ensure that your food will be an enjoyable safe product. However, once Dining by Design has properly completed its service, you are the responsible for continuing proper food storage and handling techniques to prevent any food-borne illness. If you have any questions concerning proper techniques used, we will be happy to discuss them with you.
Dining by Design is not liable for operational failure of or subsequent repairs to stove tops, ovens, microwaves, refrigerators, freezers, disposals, vacuum sealers, plumbing or any other client property used that is necessary for the completion of cooking duties resulting from normal use and/or accumulative wear and tear.
Please remember that your kitchen is our “office” on cheffing day. We will be in your home providing professional services and need to be able to concentrate in order to provide the quality service you deserve. We will be glad to “visit” with you and answer your questions during the first 10 minutes of arrival. However, after that time, please realize it is important for us to focus fully on your meal preparation.
Dining by Design Personal Chef Services is our livelihood and we appreciate your letting us know with as much advance notice as possible if you should desire to terminate your service in order for us to book other clients on your reserved cooking days. If we are sick we will reschedule so that we do not spread illness to you or your family. We also ask that if someone in your family is sick, that you reschedule so that illness is not spread to us, to our family and our other customers.
