Chef Brandy is a self-taught cook who has loved cooking since she was young. She learned the basics of cooking from her mother, and her Grandmother's authentic Italian spaghetti sauce and lasagna are "family treasures and requested by everyone". Coming from an Italian family taught her the importance of family dinners. "Cooking in large amounts just came naturally to me. We always have a freezer full of food because I'm constantly cooking up "quantity" (and quality) meals!" Experienced as an Independent Kitchen Consultant, Brandy started Dining by Design-Personal Chef Services serving the Treasure Valley/Boise, Idaho area in July, 2000. "I became really interested in cooking after moving out on my own. At first it was out of necessity, then cooking grew into a passion. I subscribed to Sunset and became a member of the Cooking Club of America. I would read the magazines from cover to cover the day they arrived in the mail. Not only did I love the articles, but I enjoyed making the delicious recipes. Now, we are excited to serve Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Lake Tahoe and surrounding areas of Nevada and California!"   After ten years in the nursing field, Brandy retired from the medical world to pursue her passion as well as raise a very active daughter, now 5-years old along with her 2-year old sister! Brandy is an avowed "foodie", and continues to increase her knowledge and experience. "Serving your needs… personally!" is a reflection of her personality, and her willingness to constantly try new techniques, recipes and customize each meal. "Currently, I am studying with the USPCA to become a Certified Personal Chef and plan to attend Culinary Arts School.
